The Face of Modern Slavery

Normally I write about children with learning disabilities, and what we can do as parents to help our children.

However, I came across this video in a link to an article in the NYT, and felt it was imperative to help increase people's awareness about this issue. I don't know about you, but in my mind, these women and girls are our children as well. As much as our children struggle, they won't have to face being raped and beaten at age 9 by an Western pedophile.

So please, for all our children's sakes, watch the video, tweet it, post a link on Facebook, and give to the cause. Even a small amount helps.

If not for their sake, then for the sake of your child's.

Video: There’s Nothing Like Success

I love this video. On the surface it's just a kid who's thrilled because he's finally figured out how to ride a bicycle.

Look deeper, and his enthusiasm makes you long for the days when success was as simple as where to place your feet.

The truth is, as adults we lose the ability to be happy over the little things: either people think you're weird or hopelessly naive or just plain weird.

Your goal for today: Look around today. Find one thing you're really happy about today. (If you can't think of anything - LOOK HARDER). Then share it with someone you care for!

Video-Are You Going to Finish Strong?

We place a lot of importance on where we start.

Somehow we imagine to ourselves that the start line is the key to everything: wealth, health, fame, or glory.

The truth is, it doesn't matter where you start, but where you finish. And not just where you finish, but, if at the end of the day, you can answer this question with your head held up: "Did you finish strong?"

Watch this video for an example of a man that asks himself that question everyday, and inspires others to do the same.
